The LevelMAX Limiter features three types of limiting: Peak, RMS, and Transducer Thermal. LevelMAX has been designed to limit accurately to the specified voltage thresholds. The addition of a thermal limiter allows thresholds for the faster-acting RMS and peak limiters to be set higher, providing more output and maintaining dynamic range before the onset of limiting, while protecting the long term integrity of the transducers.
The number of audio channels is configurable within SFD, with each channel operating independently.
In the GTT, LevelMAX exposes several parameters for each channel, including:
- 0 dBFS Reference Voltage
- Peak Limiter Voltage Threshold
- TLC Peak Limiter Voltage Threshold
- Peak Breaker Saver Voltage Threshold
- Peak Limiter Release
- RMS Voltage Threshold
- TLC RMS Voltage Threshold
- RMS Breaker Saver Voltage Threshold
- RMS Limiter Release
- RMS Detector Time
- Thermal Voltage Threshold
- Thermal Time Constant
- AutoCalc PI and Rms Attack
- RMS Limiter Attack
- Thermal Proportional K
- Thermal Integral K
- Peak Limiter Enable
- RMS Limiter Enable
- Thermal Limiter Enable
- Amplifier Bridged
