BSS Mixer

BSS Mixer performs channel mixing for pre-mastering scenarios in Professional Audio applications. It supports features like aux and group mixes, pan for stereo recording, solo listening of input channels etc.

The object can be operated in either of the two modes:

  • Mono: There is one main output channel.
  • Stereo: There are two main output channel. The main channels pair together to provide a stereo field.

In the SFD, users can configure the number of input channels. Aux channel count, group channel count and pan law (for stereo mode) are provided as additional SFD variables.

In the GTT, BSS Mixer exposes below set of parameters, both at tune-time and at run-time:

  • Input parameters: Gain, mute, pan, polarity, solo (for each input channel)
  • Main parameters: Gain, mute (for each main channel)
  • Aux send parameters: Aux-gain (as a linearized 2D array with input and aux channel indices as the two dimensions)
  • Aux parameters: Postfade, gain, mute (for each aux channel)
  • Group route parameters: Group-route (as a linearized 2D array with input and group channel indices as the two dimensions)
  • Group parameters: Gain, mute (for each group channel)

This audio object is targeted at Professional Audio usage, specifically.
