The device layout can be edited by clicking on the “Edit Device” button available in the bottom of the device view.

On clicking the edit device button, the Device File Editor window is loaded with the device configuration data.
Users can add, remove or update the physical cores, virtual cores, input groups and output groups inside this window. Once the device configuration is modified, users have to click on the “Update Device” button to update the old device with the latest configuration.

If any virtual cores are added or removed in between the existing layout, a window with the old core Id and new core Id is displayed.

The device view will be re-loaded with the updated configuration by clicking on “Ok” button. Also, a new device template will be created for this updated device.
Note: When the CoreId’s are changed, then already exported set files cannot be imported.
