To add a device to GTT, you have two options: You can import your own device (A) or create a device in GTT (B).
Import your own device.
1. Select File and click on Import Device.
Select your device from your personal directory.
The dialog below will be displayed.
In the dialog above you can decide upon the synchronization of tuning data between GTT and the
imported/created device. If you click Cancel there will be no synchronization.
If you want to synchronize with the tuning data of GTT:
Click No.
If you want to synchronize with the tuning data of the imported/created device:
Click Yes.
Create a device.
1. Click on Create Device.
The Add Device Dialog will be displayed with the following parameters:
Platform – the physical platform on which the device will run (drop-down available)
Device ID
Device Name
Brand – derived from Device Name, required for legacy AA infrastructure
Family – required for legacy AA infrastructure
Number of Channels – number of channels supported by the device
Max Tuning Data Size – Maximum count of bytes included in a single tuning data message
Under Platform select the platform you created in the steps before.
Fill out the other fields according to your needs.
Confirm with OK.
The device you created will appear in the Devices section.
Your actual device is stored in one of the folders in the list. The folder is labeled with the Brand name you chose
in the Add Device dialog.
Double-click the respective folder.
Your device will be displayed.
Drag and drop your test device into the Room 1 section.
The dialog below will be displayed.

If you want to synchronize with the tuning data of GTT:
Click No.
If you want to synchronize with the tuning data of the imported/created device:
Click Yes.
Your device will be displayed in the Room 1 section.
