{"id":25873,"date":"2023-11-29T13:52:39","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T12:52:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demdlx704as001.ad.harman.com\/?p=25873"},"modified":"2023-11-30T05:43:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-30T04:43:09","slug":"level-meters-in-signal-flow-designer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/?p=25873","title":{"rendered":"Level Meters in Signal Flow Designer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To monitor audio output and control output, level meters can be added in audio out and control out connections of audio objects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\">Audio Output Connection:<\/p>\n<p>Peak or RMS value of each audio out connections can be viewed by adding level meters through context menu of the connection,<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25877\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ContextMenu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"312\" height=\"123\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On clicking Peak option in context menu, level meter will be added to the connection to show peak value of output in that connection:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25878\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Peak.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"290\" height=\"93\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On clicking RMS option in context menu, level meter will be added to the connection to show RMS value of output in that connection:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25879\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/RMS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"101\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Connection color also will get updated on adding level meter. If device is not connected, level meter control and value will not be displayed. The connection color indicates the presence of level meter in a connection. The level meter color will get updated dynamically based on the Peak\/RMS value of the audio output.<\/p>\n<p>Once after adding Peak\/RMS level meter, delete option will get enabled in context menu. Even the type of level meter can be switched by selecting the enabled level meter context menu option(Peak\/RMS),<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25883\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/LM-Added.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"157\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can use delete option to remove level meter from a connection. On deleting level meter, level meter control and value will be disappeared, and connection color will reset to default.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\">Control Output Connection:<\/p>\n<p>Control output value of each control out connections can be viewed by adding level meters through context menu of the connection,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25882\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Control.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"122\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On clicking the Add option, level meter will be added to the connection to show control output value of that connection:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25886\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ControlLM-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Apart from control output value, the pin label also will be displayed. In order to see longer pin labels, a tooltip added for the pin label here:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25887\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ControlLM1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"141\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Connection color will get updated on adding level meter. On deleting level meter, level meter control and value will be disappeared, and connection color will reset to default.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\">Legend Section<\/p>\n<p>Legend section is present in the top right corner of signal flow designer screen if streaming is enabled and number of level meters configured for the core is not zero. By default the legend section is in collapsed state. On clicking expand button, legend section will get expanded.<\/p>\n<p>Collapsed State:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25892\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/LegendCollapsed.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"139\" height=\"54\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In collapsed state, number of maximum allowed level meters and number of added level meters are displayed.<\/p>\n<p>Expanded State:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-25893\" src=\"https:\/\/audioworx.transfunnel.co\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/LegendExpanded.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In expanded state, in addition to number of level meters, color coding for different ranges of audio output values also displayed,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Green &#8211; Peak\/RMS value is less than -12<\/li>\n<li>Yellow &#8211; Peak\/RMS value is in the range of -12 to -3.1<\/li>\n<li>Red &#8211; Peak\/RMS value is greater than -3.1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"heading\">Keyboard Shortcuts<\/p>\n<p>Keyboard shortcuts are available to add\/delete level meters in signal flow designer screen. Following are the keyboard shortcuts available for different operations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ctrl+Shift+P: Add Peak Level Meter<\/li>\n<li>Ctrl+Shift+R: Add RMS Level Meter<\/li>\n<li>Ctrl+Shift+A: Add Control Out Level Meter<\/li>\n<li>Ctrl+Shift+D: Delete Level Meter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The keyboard shortcuts can be applied after selecting one or more connections in signal flow. By using this option, you can easily add\/delete multiple level meters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\">Export and Import Level Meters<\/p>\n<p>Added level meters will get exported as part of GTTD file while exporting the project. On importing the project, exported level meters will be imported to GTT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Level meter streaming will get stopped on disconnecting the device. On reconnecting the device, streaming will get resumed for existing level meters if SFD screen is active.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Level meters are not supported for below connections in V release:<br \/>\n1. CAO output connections<br \/>\n2. Connections in CAO signal flow<br \/>\n3.
