A gradient meter is an output meter that shows the state of a device parameter in specifically designed gradients.<\/p>\n

Controls can be managed in the Custom Panel designer and, once the Custom Panel is activated, utilized by the end user. This control must be linked to a parameter to function properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Peak Equation:<\/strong> When specified, this equation combines the attached parameter’s values and returns the peak that the control will display.<\/p>\n

  • Choose from drop down list<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Addresses:<\/strong> Enables panel designer to edit\u00a0addressing information with the added benefit that the values can be validated as a group before being applied to the device.<\/p>\n

This editor also allows the user to assign multiple parameters to the control.<\/p>\n

Information:<\/strong> Shows information about the Parameter Address.<\/p>\n

Maximum:<\/strong> The maximum value that a control may be set to.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Minimum:<\/strong> The minimum value that a control may be set to.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Value Equation:<\/strong> When specified, this equation combines the attached parameter’s values and returns the value that the control will display.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Gain Reduction:<\/strong> Check if this meter is to be a Gain Reduction style. The negative dB gains are reported (shown) as increasing positive gains.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Optimized for Speed:<\/strong> Enables the meter to draw faster.<\/p>\n

Note: This decreases the aesthetic properties of the meter.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Location:<\/strong> Control location (in pixels) of the control on the Custom Panel.<\/p>\n

Change X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) values in relation to upper left corner.<\/p>\n

You can also drag the control to a different location.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Size:<\/strong> Control size (in pixels).<\/p>\n

Change width and height values. You can also re-size the control manually<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

High Color:<\/strong> The color of the upper section of the meter<\/p>\n

Mid Color:<\/strong> The color of the mid-section of the meter.<\/p>\n

Brings up the Select Color<\/a> window.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Low Color: <\/strong>The color of the lower section of the meter.<\/p>\n

Brings up the Select Color<\/a> window.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

High Threshold: <\/strong>The value at which the upper section ends, and the mid-section begins.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Mid Threshold: <\/strong>The value at which the mid-section ends, and the lower section begins.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Peak Color: <\/strong>The color of the peak line.<\/p>\n

Brings up the Select Color<\/a> window.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Gradient Fraction: <\/strong>Determines which portion of a meter section is gradient filled.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Draw Peak: <\/strong>If checked, the peak line will be displayed<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Peak Thickness: <\/strong>The thickness, in pixels of the Peak Line<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Peak Decay Rate: <\/strong>Percent of the meter that the Peak Line will drop per second<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Border Style:<\/strong> The border style drawn around the meter.<\/p>\n
